Born in Cambridge, MA, Brian Rigney Hubbard entered cinematography through photography, painting and politics. Before attending NYU’s Graduate Film Program, Hubbard lived, worked and studied in Europe, South America and the US. Working in many different cultural contexts drew him to film as the medium to best express diverse perspectives.

A former Sundance Directors Lab Fellow, Hubbard has shot several features, including ADVENTURES of POWER (directed by Ari Gold and starring Ari Gold and Adrian Grenier), PLAGUE TOWN (directed by David Gregory) and TANNER HALL (directed by Tatiana Von Furstenberg and Francesca Gregorini, featuring Chris Kattan and Amy Sedaris). Hubbard’s commercial accolades include an Emmy award for best Public Service Announcement, exhibition in the ART DIRECTOR’s CLUB/ YOUNG GUNS EXHIBITION and CANNES 2005 CFPoE Award (Commercial Film Producers of Europe).
